June is here and it’s crazy to think we are already approaching the halfway point of the year. This month is likely to be one of the busiest. The weather is nice, the garden needs planting, and the school year is ending for my son. Even though it will be hectic, I do have some goals I want to accomplish before the month is over. Before we get to my June 2024 goals, I’d like to take a moment to share how I did with May’s goals. May 2024 Goals May was chaotic but in a good way. We had some unexpected things come upRead More →

I had grand plans of tackling numerous neglected ebooks in May but then life happened and I ended up not touching books for most of the month. However, despite that, I did read a lot of books, mostly rereads, in the first week of the month. So, while I hit my reading goal for the month of at least 10 books, the books I intended to read didn’t exactly happen. I also had a surprising number of DNFs, all of which were audiobooks. Knowing that June is going to be hectic at best, I am making a smaller TBR for the month. Most of the books I am focusing on are continuations of series I am reading, and ironically enough there are a lot of fourth volumes this month. I also slipped in one book I started in May but didn’t get a chance to finish. While my June 2024 TBR is small, I am excited to get to these books and see what each story has in store for me. Should I find extra time to read, I will pick whatever book from my main TBR strikesRead More →

May has arrived and with it comes beautiful weather and the opportunity to get stuff done. I am excited for this month because it’s extremely close to when I can truly start gardening. April has come and gone and it was a spectacular reading month. I came into the month expecting to read 10 books from my TBR and managed nearly double that. For my May 2024 TBR, I am putting a heavy focus on my neglected ebooks. I have made a lot of progress whittling down my physical TBR, but have not done the same for my ebooks. This is the month that all changes. I am going with a mix of older and newer ebooks. On top of this, I should be getting a few audiobooks through the library to enjoy. As always, my monthly TBR is larger than can likely tackle, but I like to keep my options open and some months I read more than others. The post may contain affiliate links. This meansRead More →
