Easy chocolate coconut macaroons

Chocolate coconut macaroons



  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cups oats
  • 5 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp vanilla


  1. Line baking pans with parchment paper.
  2. Measure all ingredients. You will need to work fast at some points and want everything ready to dump in as needed.
  3. Add butter, milk, and sugar to a pan. Bring to a boil.
  4. Boil mixture for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
  6. Using a spoon scoop out the desired amount of mixture and place it on the cookie sheet. The mixture will start to set in the pan, so you need to move somewhat quickly.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Store in an airtight container.
