December was a light reading month. I had picked out a TBR for the month and promptly ignored it in favor of other books. However, my focus was elsewhere for most of the month, so while I didn’t read many books, I am happy with what I did get around to reading. December 2024 Reading Wrap-up
BL Metamorphosis Vol 1 by Kaori Tsurutani
This was a quick reread so I could have the story fresh in my mind before getting to the next volume.
I enjoyed re-experiencing the start of this story and watching Ichinoi and Urara find each other and share the joys of reading BL manga.

BL Metamorphosis Vol 2 by Kaori Tsurutani
I loved this continuation of the series. Watching Ichinoi and Urara navigate the chaos of the doujinshi event was fun and it showed how to both deal with crowds and being overwhelmed in new situations. I also think it’s wonderful how Ichinoi has become a mentor to Urara in many whiles, while Urara has become a pillar in Ichinoi’s life.
These two are fantastic friends and it shows that you don’t need to be in the same age bracket to get along and how people can enter your life when you need them, even if it feels very unexpected. I cannot wait to continue reading this series and I have already added the next volume to my TBR.
