Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books With Fantasy Setting

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week is the Top Ten Favorite Books With Fantasy Setting (ie: futuristic world, set mostly in schools, during World War II, books set in California  etc. etc. So many possibilities!).

This topic is both amazingly easy and so hard. After much thought I have decided to go with my favorite books in Fantasy setting. Yes I realize Fantasy is a fairly vague setting, and is more a genre than anything else, but I do love fantasy worlds and that is why I chose them. Here they are in no particular order. I’m also short on time doing this so I’ll only list the book and author, not the reason why they are my favorite.

  1. Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass
  2. Green Rider by Kristen Britain
  3. Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
  4. The Scorpio Races and The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
  5. Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey
  6. Watership Down by Richard Adams
  7. The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
  8. Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder
  9. The Mountain’s Call by Caitlin Brennan
  10. Dhampir by Barb & J.C. Hendee
