February 2013 Reading Wrap-up

With the onset of March it’s time to take a moment and look back at all the reading that was done in February. The month overall seemed to pass by fairly quickly, though I can’t think of many things that happened to speed it along. Perhaps it was the relatively nice weather that made the days go by so smoothly.

Reading wise the month was pretty good. I didn’t read as many books as I had in January, that month I read fourteen books, but I came close. With a total of eleven books read during February I’m well on my way to not only reaching but surpassing my reading goal for the year. In fact with the last book that I finished I officially reached the half way point of that goal so I may need to adjust that goal a bit to reflect my reading rate this year.

So what books did I read during February?

  • The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
  • Cujo by Stephen King
  • World War Z by Max Brooks
  • The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
  • X Marks The Scot by Victoria Roberts
  • Duke: Deputy Cowboy by Roz Denny Fox
  • The Forgotten Queen by D.L Bogdan
  • Naked In Death by J.D. Robb
  • Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke
  • Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
  • The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

As far as favorite and least favorite books go, I would have to say The Perks of Being A Wallflower and World War Z were my favorite reads this month, whereas Naked in Death was my least favorite read. The reasons for this will be explained when I post the reviews for these books.

On top of all this reading I did get to watch quite a few movies this month as well. The Help was an excellent movie and I am really looking forward to reading the book which inspired the movie. Overall February was a great reading month and I look forward to seeing what I will read this month. Perhaps I will read just as much if not more than I did last month.
