It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!
Reviews Posted Last Week:
Wyoming Bold by Diana Palmer
Me And Murder, She Wrote by Peter S. Fischer
What I Read Last Week:
Maul: Lockdown was quite a bit better than I was expecting. I haven’t had much luck with novels that occur before the original trilogy but this one was really good. In fact I might say it is my favorite pre-original trilogy novel that I have read so far. I will be posting a full review of this book closer to the release date of January 21, 2014.
I really enjoyed Kingdom of Sorrow. Much like the first book in the series this one felt very much like the games with the world and characters and the quest that the main character must go on. I will be posting a review of this book sometime in the future.
The Other Boleyn Girl was one of those books I have been meaning to read for some time but just never got around to it. Now that I finally did I am glad that I took the time because I really enjoyed this one, it was much better than the movie (which I pretty much hated when I saw it) and I was so glad for that. I will be posting a full review of this book sometime in the future.
Lastly I read Rum & Razors. I was looking for a lighter book to read after spending the better part of the week reading The Other Boleyn Girl and so I turned to my new favorite palette cleansing books from the Murder, She Wrote series. This was an enjoyable little read.
What I Plan To Read This Week:
I didn’t get a chance to get to Rider last week so this will be the first thing I read, or in this case listen to, this week. I haven’t listened to any audio books for a while now so it will be a refreshing change from actually reading a book.
The moment I saw the cover of this book I wanted to read it. And so I grabbed myself a copy to review and will be working on this one this week. So far it has two things that appeal to me, that it’s a mystery and that it’s set in Africa.
What have you read recently? Were they as good as you had hoped or just alright? What books do you plan to read this week?
