It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #60

It’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!

Reviews Posted Last Week:
Dark Currents by Jacqueline Carey
Course of Action by Lindsay McKenna & Merline Lovelace
Down Range by Lindsay McKenna
The Troop by Nick Cutter

What I Read Last Week:

The book I read last week was Down Range and I really loved it. I don’t know what I can say about it since I’ve already posted my review of this book. So if you want to know what I thought about it click the link to the review above. Can’t wait to continue on with this series.

The White Masai is a book I’ve been wanting to read for a while now and I finally got around to it last week. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it even though while reading her story I had to keep shaking my head at all the not so great decisions that the author made. I might post a review of this in the future.

Redemption was the first book that I read in 2014 and man what a great way to start off this years reading. I had meant to read this one months ago and never did, now I’m so glad I finally got to it because it was amazing and I really need to get to the next book in the series as soon as possible. I will be posting a full review of this book soon.

I was so excited to get to read Taste of Darkness and yet I admit I was worried about how this trilogy would end. While I enjoyed the book I found something about it to be off, though I can’t quite put my finger on what that something was at this moment. It was a pretty good ending to the series. I will be posting a full review of this book later this month.

What I Plan To Read This Week:

Risk Taker is the third book in the Shadow Warriors series, the same series that Down Range is from, so I’m very much looking forward to reading this book. I cannot wait to see what awaits the main characters of this book.

I watch the movie version of I Dreamed of Africa a few years back and really enjoyed it, so I’m finally getting around to reading the book. I would imagine it will be as good as, if not better than, the movie. Plus it needs to go back to the library on Thursday.

What have you read recently? Were they as good as you had hoped or just alright? What books do you plan to read this week?
