July 2016 Reading Wrap-Up

With August here, it’s time to take a moment and look back on all the reading that I did in the month of July. The month was certainly not my strongest reading wise, and yet I did better than some of the previous months where I read nothing.

So what did I read in July?

Yup, that’s it. Just one book.

Of course, I had a lot of other things going on during the month, so I just didn’t have time or the motivation to read. We have had a pretty amazing summer weather wise this year, which is odd and yet fantastic because normally our summers are cool and wet. This year however we have had lots of warm and even plenty of hot days. So because of this we have been spending as much time as we can enjoying it. Because of this, the garden is doing fantastic, though so far I have only harvested strawberries, radishes, potatoes and a few snap peas.

When it was too hot to be out, or during the evening, we would sit down together as a family and watched movies and episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Simpsons. Our goal is to finish up all of Star Wars: The Clone Wars before the next season of Star Wars: Rebels comes out, which honestly doesn’t give us a lot of time given we are only on season two of The Clone Wars. As far as movies went, we watched The BFG, Armageddon, Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Karate Kid Part II, The Secret Life of Pets, and lastly to finish off the month we watched all four Sharknado movies. Obviously we spent a lot fo time in front of the TV, but when it’s hot out (and you’re not used to hot weather) it’s the best thing to do.

Overall, July was a pretty good month and I’m looking forward to what August holds for us.
