What I did Last Week

I didn’t read a single thing last week. Well, I read lots of articles online, but no actual books.

We only managed to watch one of our DVDs last week and that was Thelma & Louise. Hubby and I really enjoyed this one, though I had seen it before, this was his first time watching it. We will be keeping this one. On Netflix I watched I Am Your Father, Dark Horse, First Contact: Lost Tribe of The Amazon, The True Cost and 13th. I figure if we are cleaning up our DVD pile, then I should clean up my Netflix to-watch list as well. On TV/PVR I watched River Monsters, Alaska: The Last Frontier, My 600lbs Life, Westminster Kennel Club Show and Heartland. For Family Movie Night, we ended up watching Balto 2: Wolf Quest, it was alright but certainly no where near as good as the first movie.

Oh my goodness, last week was so much busier than I thought it would be. I did get some of the house purging I wanted to get done, mainly the boys bedroom, but the rest got postponed. I spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen this week, between personal baking and orders. I gave the house house a thorough dusting and vacuuming. Had to spend a day moving out To Sell pile to a new location, because it had grown too big and was in the way. We spend a decent amount of time shoveling snow. I also got quite a bit of writing done, doing some nearly every day. Friday was the busiest day by far, and I did so much that day I don’t even want to list it all, but let’s just say the only time I sat down was at dinner. The weather turned gorgeous on the weekend, so we spent a good deal of time outside. I did make a run into the city as well, which is four hour drive each way, to do a bit of necessary shopping. I also did quite a bit of research with regards to the pet food industry and dog health, which is time consuming but worth while. My motivation for this was watching the documentary Pet Fooled a few weeks back and seeing all the dog food recalls happening this year as well. I am making an effort to give my dog a better diet that isn’t filled with harsh chemicals and things that she can’t even digest. Most days last week, I was too tired to do anything like reading by the end of the day, so I turned to watching things on TV or Netflix.

What I Plan To Do This Week

I will once again be trying to read The Titan’s Curse, as I didn’t get to it last week. Really looking forward to getting into this one. I just hope that I have time to read this week.

I don’t have any definite plans to watch things this week. I will see what strikes my fancy and watch that. Hopefully I can get through at least a few of the DVDs we have in our to-watch stack.

I’m hoping for a quieter week than last, but I doubt that will happen. I have a number of baking orders that need to be done this week and I really want to continue on with the house purge and get to the areas I didn’t last week. I also plan to do a lot of writing.
