January was quite a good reading month. I got through a surprising number of books, which is phenomenal because it didn’t feel like I had read many books, and yet I got through more than I had planned to read. This means I put a decent dent in my overall TBR. In my January 2025 Reading Wrap-up, I share all of the books I read and give a mini-review of those books. The post may contain affiliate links. December was a light reading month. I had picked out a TBR for the month and promptly ignored it in favor of other books. However, my focus was elsewhere for most of the month, so while I didn’t read many books, I am happy with what I did get around to reading. The end of the year has come and gone and so with it my reading time in December. Every month that comes along allows me to read as much as possible while also whittling down my TBR. Making to-be-read lists comes naturally to readers. We love to make lists of books we want to read just as much as we love buying new books. Sticking to those TBRs and reading the books? That’s a whole different story. However, that doesn’t stop me from making regular TBR. So, when I saw 24 Books To Read In 2024 going around, I knew I had to join in. These books are a mix of ones that have been waiting on my TBR for years to be read, along with some newer releases. We’ll see in a year if I read all of these books orRead More →

December is here and that means it’s time for my November 2023 Reading Wrap-Up. November was a month where little reading was happening. Entering the month, I was caught in a reading slump, and no matter what book I looked at in my TBR, I didn’t feel like picking up any of them. Eventually, I did manage to get through a few books at the end of the month. The post may contain affiliate links. It has been five years since I decided to focus on reading all of the books on my physical TBR. It’s so easy to be pulled away from books on the shelf in favor of those shiny newly published books. I do continue to buy new books and often do read them first. However, I feel like I have done a good job of whittling down my large TBR into something more manageable. Each month I read several books and do my best to limit the number of new books coming in. It’s time for my TBR update: year five to see just how muchRead More →

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Arty Reader Girl. Each week, we are given a bookish topic to discuss. This week’s theme is Books on My Fall 2023 To-Read List. I always love creating various TBRs and it helps me get through my admittedly large but steadily shrinking TBR. A lot of the books here are newer releases and I am excited to read this during the fall. The post may contain affiliate links.
