Going into the month, I didn’t plan to buy any books. However, plans changed and books were indeed purchased. Many of these books I’ve had my eye on for a while and more are sequels of series I am actively reading. Without further ado, let’s get to my October 2024 book haul.

The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben
Are trees social beings? In The Hidden Life of Trees forester and author Peter Wohlleben convincingly makes the case that, yes, the forest is a social network. He draws on groundbreaking scientific discoveries to describe how trees are like human families: tree parents live together with their children, communicate with them, support them as they grow, share nutrients with those who are sick or struggling, and even warn each other of impending dangers. Wohlleben also shares his deep love of woods and forests, explaining the amazing processes of life, death, and regeneration that he has observed in his woodland.

Kimi ni Todoke: From Me To You: Soulmate Vol 3 by Karuho Shiina

Now that a beautiful woman has moved in to become the new resident manager, Godai is driven to distraction!

I started Komi can’t communicate by watching the anime and since I really liked it, I’m thinking of starting the manga. The hidden life of trees sounds interesting too, thanks for sharing!

I haven’t watched anime since Sailor Moon was big in the 90s, maybe I will try looking into mangas.
