t’s Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now…who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!
Reviews Posted Last Week:
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Fallen by B. J. Daniels
Knit Your Own Dog: The Second Litter by Sally Muir & Joanna Osborne
I had a fairly decent reading week last week, and while I ended up reading more than I had planned I also didn’t finish the one book I had planned on, though I am very close to doing so. This next week is going to be busy for me again, getting everything read for a big garage sale, so I probably won’t have much reading time, but I am going to try to get in as much of it as possible.
What I Read Last Week:
There’s not much I can say about this one that isn’t in my review. It was so good and everything about the story was so appealing. Really the only bad thing about it is that the second book isn’t out yet. To read my full review clink on the link above.
I listened to the audiobook of The Last Page. It was pretty good. The narrator did a good job with this, and it was a very quite listen, the main story being only about an hour long. There were also two short stories included after The Last Page though those didn’t appeal to me. I’ll be posting a full review of this book later in the week.
What I Plan To Read This Week:
Up first this week is finishing off Crucible. I have really been enjoying this one and I am quite close to finishing it, in fact I should be finishing it later today. It’s so nice to be reading Star Wars books again that it has made me want to do nothing but read every single Star Wars book that I own in order. Perhaps I’ll do that some time in the future. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this one ends as there are many possibilities of what will happen.
I think I will pick up this book next. I have a review copy of this, and it sounds quite intriguing. I’ve seen some pretty positive reviews about Under The Empyrean Sky so I am hoping that I will enjoy it. I”m not sure if I will have time to read anything after this one and if I do I’m not entirely sure what I will pick up next.
What have you read recently? Were they as good as you had hoped or just alright? What books do you plan to read this week?
