November is here and it’s hard to believe we are in the second last month of 2024. November is set to be the busiest month of the year and yet I am excited for what it holds. Before we get into my November 2024 goals, I want to take a moment to share how I did with October’s goals.
October review
October started out strong but then life got extremely busy a few days into the month and a lot of my plans went out the window. I figured this would happen, so a lot of these goals didn’t happen and I’m okay with that. This month was a prime example of life happens and I had to prioritize where my time and energy were going.
Life goals
Read at least 5 books
Yes. I read a surprising number of books this month, especially in the first 2 weeks. See what I read in October.
Watch at least 1 show on Crunchyroll
Nope. I didn’t have much time to devote to watching things.
Go “back to school”
Yes. I prioritized this goal and was able to get through an online course I had been wanting to take for a while. I learned a lot and now I get to apply that knowledge to my blog going forward.
Do winter prep
Yes. There wasn’t a ton to do with this, as I had done a lot of it in September. But I did accomplish the few tasks that needed to get done.
Blogging Goals
Participate in Blogtober
Not even close. I quickly realized I would overwhelm myself trying to keep up with this and life. While I did post a few extra reviews throughout the month, it wasn’t quite as many as I had hoped for.
Work on October & November’s posts
Not quite. I did manage to get a couple of posts done throughout the month but I honestly had to put this one on the backburner.
Be more active on social media
Sort of. I had some issues with my Facebook blog page which was limiting what I could post there. I did okay with Pinterest at the beginning of the month but quickly fell out of the habit. As for Instagram, I barely touched it.
Update old content
I managed to update one old post but didn’t quite get the 5 I was hoping to do.
Reply to comments in a timely manner
If I remember correctly, I got to all comments within the 72-hour timeframe.
November 2024 Goals
November is going to be an extremely hectic month, so I am cutting my goals back to the bare minimum because of that. We are moving this month, so most of my time and energy is going into packing, getting to the new house, and then unpacking.
Read at least 2 books
I’m cutting my reading goal back to 2 books. If I manage to read more beyond that I will be happy, if not, that’s fine too.
My November TBR may be small but I’m excited to read these books.
Post one a week on the blog
I think I can pull this off since I have a few posts ready already, but given the chaos of the month, I will be happy with any posts I get up.

Love how honest you are about what you did/didn’t accomplish and why. Sometimes life just happens and we have to run with it! Last month we were hit by a hurricane and lost power and internet for a while so I am a bit behind. This month I am trying to focus on updating some older blog posts and getting some holiday content ready. Have a great month!
Thank you. I feel it’s important to share my wins as well as my failures. I can’t imagine having to deal with the aftermath of the hurricane. Updating old posts and creating holiday content sounds like great goals. Good look with those.
