2025 Goals – Bookish, Blogging, & Life Goals

A new year means it’s time to set some yearly goals. I prefer to set goals over resolutions, as I am more apt to stick to goals. Setting yearly goals can seem daunting when you start, as you are trying to plan out what you want to accomplish over the course of an entire year. However, I find it is a simple yet effective way to focus on the year ahead. My 2025 Goals are a mix of bookish, blogging, and life goals.

2025 Goals

2025 Bookish goals

Read at least 6 non-fiction books

I used to read non-fiction books regularly but fell out of the habit. Recently, I have picked up more non-fiction books and want to continue that trend in 2025. So, I am aiming to read at least 6 non-fiction books this year.

Visit all of the Little Free Libraries in town

We moved at the end of 2024 and shortly after getting here, I happened upon a Little Free Library not far from my house. Now, I am on a mission to find and visit all of the ones in town.

Bonus points if I take and leave a book from each location.

Reduce my physical TBR

This is something I have been working on for six years now and it’s come a long way since the first year. Once again, I am hoping to get through quite a few of my physical books.

Reduce my ebook TBR

I don’t even want to admit to how many unread books are on my Kindle, but it’s an embarrassing amount – out of sight, out of mind at its best! This year, I am going to work on reducing that number. Ideally, I’d like to read at least 12 Kindle books this year but I am hoping to get through more.

Finish at least 5 series

I’m in the middle of about 40 series at the moment, and so, I need to focus on finishing some of them.

Read 10 new-to-me authors

I’m always on the lookout for new authors to read and this year is no exception. I’d love to find and read 10 new-to-me authors but more than that would be amazing as well.

Use the library more

I had this goal last year and did well with it, so I’m continuing with that goal this year.

2025 Blogging Goals

Give the blog a facelift

This is going to be a long process, but I want to completely revamp my blog. I will be changing the theme, updating all of my graphics, adding or removing categories, and so much more. It will be a lot of work but I am looking forward to the end result.

Post 1-2 times a week

Posting consistently is a big goal this year. Posting 1-2 times per week sounds doable without being too overwhelming.

Send out a newsletter 1-2 times a month

It’s embarrassing how many times I have made this a goal and then utterly failed at it. This will be the year I stick to this and get those newsletters out regularly.

Be more active on social media

Social media is a bit part of blogging and I do fairly well with things like Twitter but less so with Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. Those are the ones I will be working on this year.

Update old posts

This is a task that all bloggers need to do regularly. I have no set number of posts that I want to update, but in an ideal world, I’d like to update 1 to 2 per week since I have so many that need attention.

2025 Life Goals

Try at least 5 new recipes

Last year, I set a goal of trying 20 new recipes and did that and more. This year, I’m cutting it back to 5 new recipes. I will likely do more than that, but this is the minimum.

Make a latch hook rug

I’ve been feeling crafty this year and since I got some latch hooks for Christmas, I want to try my hand at making a latch hook rug. I am currently looking for a simple kit to start with and once I have the technique down, I will try my hand at designing my own rug and make it.

Relearn how to use my sewing machine

Sticking to the crafty theme, I want to relearn how to use a sewing machine. I picked one up last year at a garage sale and it’s been sitting untouched ever since. This year, I plan to relearn how to sew, a skill I learned as a kid but haven’t done much as an adult.

While this may feel like a lot of goals to some people, I feel confident that I can achieve all of them.

I hope you enjoyed my 2025 Goals. What are your main goals for 2025?
