June is here and it’s crazy to think we are already approaching the halfway point of the year. This month is likely to be one of the busiest. The weather is nice, the garden needs planting, and the school year is ending for my son. Even though it will be hectic, I do have some goals I want to accomplish before the month is over. Before we get to my June 2024 goals, I’d like to take a moment to share how I did with May’s goals.
May 2024 Goals
May was chaotic but in a good way. We had some unexpected things come up which turned my attention away from pretty much everything I had planned and put it elsewhere. While I’m excited for what’s to come my May goals suffered horribly.
Life
Read at least 10 books
Yes. Thankfully, I did a ton of reading at the beginning of the month before everything went crazy. Check out what I read in May.
Study Japanese
No. I got a couple of days of studying in and then nothing.
Watch at least 2 shows on Crunchyroll
Nope. I did watch 1 season of Banished From the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside but otherwise, I didn’t have time to watch much.
Try at least 2 new recipes
Nope.
Start seeds for the garden
Nope. I meant to, but every time I thought about doing this, something else came up.
Prep the garden area
Nope.
Clean out the shed
Nope.
Blogging
Post regularly
No. Despite having posts ready to go for most of May, I decided to pull those posts and shift them into June.
Update at least 5 old posts
Nope. I didn’t get any old posts updated.
Work on May and June’s posts
Barely. I did get 1 post for May and 2 posts for June done and that’s it.

No. It took me a couple of weeks to reply to the comments.
June 2024 Goals
To say that June will be extremely busy is an understatement. We have some big life changes happening soon that I will go into detail about later. Needless to say, I am cutting back on my goals to focus on life and what’s to come. I’m excited but I know I can’t keep up with the number of goals I have had recently.
Life goals
Read at least 5 books
I’m cutting back my reading goal to 5 books and I’m excited to tackle my June TBR.
Clean the shed
This desperately needs to be done. so whenever I have a spare moment I will pick away at this task.
Watch at least 1 show on Crunchyroll
Though my plate is quite full this month, I want to include one fun goal. So, I’ll be attempting to get through 1 show from my Crunchyroll to-watch list.
Blogging Goals
Post regularly
This month, I am aiming for 1-2 posts per week.
Work on July’s posts
I have most if not all of June’s posts done, so whenever I have time to do blog work, I will be working on some of July’s posts.
Reply to comments in a timely manner
The goal is to reply to them within 72 hours of receiving a comment.

I like your honest month review. I set my goals but do not get them accomplished. Life just happens and I am busy etc. We just keep on swimming.
Thank you. I think being honest about them is extremely important. Learning that you won’t always hit every goal is important because life happens and sometimes things won’t get done, but there is always next month to try.
