March 2024 goals & February review

March has arrived. It’s hard to believe we are already in the third month of the year. March helps to usher in the first signs of spring. It also signals the beginning of a busy period of life, as the nicer weather sends me outside more often. Even so, I will be busy with many goals, both inside and outside. Before we get into my March 2024 goals, let’s take a moment to see how I did with February’s goals.

February review

February was a fairly productive month and I’m quite happy with how I did with my goals. The last week of the month hit a slight snag due to a hand injury, which slowed down my ability to do much.

  • Read at least 10 books. Yes. That and more. See what I read in February.
  • Study Japanese.  Darn close. I studied 24 days this month, very close to my goal of studying every day.
  • Finish my digital declutter. Yes. There wasn’t much to do beyond organizing a few files and folders, but I got it done.
  • Watch 1 show from my Netflix to-watch list. The only show on my list here is currently ongoing, so it wasn’t possible to watch the entire season. But, over the course of the month I watched 5 episodes of Delicious In Dungeon.
  • Watch at least 2 shows on Crunchyroll. Yes. I watched 1 season of Banished From The Hero’s Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside, and 1 season of Kaina of the Great Snow Sea.
  • Reorganize the master bedroom. Admittedly, there wasn’t much I could do to reorganize this room, but I did move a few things around to help it feel less cluttered.
  • Try at least 2 new recipes. Yes. I tried 5 new recipes this month. Four of them we loved and one was decent but will be better with some improvements.

  • Stick to my blog work schedule. I did pretty well with this, some days went better than others but overall I would call it a success.
  • Post regularly. Yes. I have found my posting groove and was able to keep up with posting several times a week.
  • Update at least 10 old posts. That and so much more. I got around 30 old posts updated.
  • Work on February and March’s posts. Yes. I managed to finish all of February’s posts and got a decent start on March’s.
  • Reply to comments in a timely manner. Mostly. I kept up with this well until the last week of the month.

March 2024 goals

March is going to be a decently busy month. This is the month when winter can either be raging or subsiding on a daily basis. This is the time of the year I start looking toward the garden season and it’s around the time that spring cleaning will start taking up some of my time.

  • Read at least 10 books. I’m once again aiming for 10 books in a month. I did well the last two months with this and I feel like I can do it again. My March TBR is full of great-sounding books.
  • Study Japanese.  I’m looking to spend a minimum of 30 minutes a day.
  • Watch at least 2 shows on Crunchyroll. I have 100+ anime I want to watch on Crunchyroll, so this month, I’ll be aiming to watch at least 2 of them.
  • Reorganize the kitchen. I’m working my way through the house to rearrange each room. This month, I’ll be working on the kitchen.
  • Try at least 2 new recipes. I want to try 20 new recipes this year, so I’m aiming to try at least 2 each month.
  • Start seeds for the garden. We are about 3 months away from the garden season, however, this is the perfect time to start seeds that need extra time to grow before planting, such as tomatoes and peppers.

  • Post regularly. I plan to post at least 3 times per week. If I can post more often that would be fine too.
  • Update at least 10 old posts. I have a ton of old posts that need to be updated, so I’m aiming to get at least 10 of those done this month.
  • Work on March and April’s posts. I have some of March’s posts done, so I’ll be focusing on those and then moving on to April’s posts.
  • Reply to comments in a timely manner. The goal is to reply to them within 72 hours of receiving a comment.
